Chelsea are at risk of losing one of their star players for a low fee this summer.

Conor Gallagher will enter the final year of his contract in June, meaning that Chelsea may have to sell the midfielder in the next transfer window to avoid the risk of losing him for nothing in 2025.

To Mauricio Pochettino, the 24-year-old will be worth a lot of money. However, according to GiveMeSport, inside sources at Stamford Bridge believe the Blues may not receive anything higher than £30m for him.

Gallagher has looked like more than a £30m player this season, but his contract situation means his value is sinking.

The Englishman has been so important for Pochettino, making 37 appearances and scoring four times. Going forward, Gallagher is confident that he can score even more goals for his side.

Chelsea may have to sell Conor Gallagher for £30m

Chelsea are not going to let Gallagher leave the club on a free transfer. They have already shown that those days are over after selling Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic last summer after they had reached the final year of their contracts.

If bids of £30m come in for the England international, then, the Blues are likely to consider them.

It is a bit of a joke that it has got to this point. Chelsea really should be doing more to get a player who has featured in almost 40 games this season to sign a new deal. For whatever reason, though, they just do not seem desperate to keep hold of him.

Pochettino will not be on the same wavelength as his bosses after making Gallagher a key member of his team.

However, the Argentine may not even be at Stamford Bridge next season. With his side currently sitting in 11th place in the Premier League table, there has been a lot of talk about an early exit.
