Chelsea may not have to worry about one Premier League player scoring against them again this campaign.

So far, Chelsea have conceded to Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester United, Brentford and West Ham United.

Their sister club Strasbourg are now interested in signing an attacker from one of those sides.

Strasbourg have already done a bit of business with Chelsea recently. Last month, Strasbourg agreed to sell Emanuel Emegha to Chelsea.

Strasbourg tracking Fabio Carvalho

Chelsea will be glad to see the back of Brentford’s Fabio Carvalho if the 23-year-old goes on to join Strasbourg or another club in January.

It was Carvalho who scored a last-minute equaliser for the Bees in their 2-2 draw with Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium in September.

According to Sky Sports, Strasbourg are tracking the attacking midfielder and have been for a while, so it looks like he could join Liam Rosenior’s side in the winter transfer window.

Carvalho has made just one start in the Premier League so far this season. If that number does not increase drastically, he may very well fancy a move to Strasbourg.

Last term, the former Liverpool player made 19 league appearances for Brentford, scoring two goals across those games.

What Fabio Carvalho said about his goal against Chelsea

Carvalho’s goal came from a set-piece, something that Brentford had been working on, according to the Portuguese.

“I knew that I wasn’t going to win the first header but I thought that, if I snuck around, I might get my chance — and I did!” Carvalho told Brentford’s official club website after the game. “We’ve been working on it on the training pitch and it paid off today.”

Since then, Chelsea’s form has been really patchy. Enzo Maresca‘s men lost subsequent games against Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion, yet they were able to beat Premier League champions Liverpool.

Chelsea next face Brentford in January, taking on their west London rivals at Stamford Bridge. Amid Strasbourg’s interest in him, though, Carvalho may not be there to terrorise Maresca’s backline again.

Their upcoming fixture is against Nottingham Forest after the international break. Ange Postecoglou is still searching for his first win in charge.
