Kylian Mbappe is now willing to join Chelsea on loan for the 2023/24 campaign – but is against moving to Stamford Bridge for any longer.
That is according to SPORT in Spain.
So, what is the latest on Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Spanish news outlet believe Chelsea will call PSG to make an offer for the France international today, as Todd Boehly sets his sights on the 24-year-old.
PSG have taken the dramatic step of putting Mbappe up for sale, as the French giants believe their No.7 already has an agreement to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer, when his contract expires.
The Parisians obviously don’t want to lose their £166m striker for nothing, but are wary of doing business with a side competing against them in the Champions League, which is why Chelsea are so firmly in the race.
SPORT believe Boehly has held talks with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi about a deal for Mbappe, and it has been revealed that a €250m (£215m) price tag has been placed on the Frenchman.

However, the Paris-born striker is only willing to join Chelsea on loan for the 2023/24 campaign instead of making a long-term commitment to the Blues, as he holds out for Real Madrid.
SPORT claim that a season-long loan doesn’t really suit PSG or Chelsea, so it remains to be seen what happens in this truly unique transfer saga.
Boehly not giving up on Mbappe to Chelsea
By the sounds of it, Boehly is the driving force behind these negotiations as the American desperately tries to bring Mbappe to west London.

The Independent believe talks were held about Chelsea making a player-plus-cash bid for the World Cup winning striker, who has been compared to Pele.
Mauricio Pochettino’s name has not been mentioned as much as Boehly’s in the Mbappe saga, but after working productively with the forward while managing PSG, the Argentine would surely have no qualms about taking him into his squad.
