Reports have claimed that owner Todd Boehly is now really trying to bring Kylian Mbappe to Chelsea this summer.

According to The Independent, the Blues are attempting a player-plus-cash deal to try and bring the forward in for what would be a truly sensational transfer to take place this summer.

It emerged just over a week ago that Mbappe was being pushed to leave PSG, after relationships between himself and the side broke down recently.

All of the elite sides in Europe sides have been put on notice by this, with it surely causing even the most minor disruption to their plans for the transfer window.

The opportunity to bring in a certified ‘world-class’ attacker to their ranks does not come around often, and should always be considered where possible.

Boehly pushing for Mbappe

Despite manager Mauricio Pochettino playing down the possibility of a move, the Blues continue to be mentioned as a potential landing spot.

Now, it has been claimed that they are actually one of the clubs pushing hardest to get a deal over the line, with the Frenchman’s future very much up in the air right now.

It was reported recently that finances would not be a hurdle if they did decide they wanted to pursue a move for the attacker.

Boehly has not been shy in admitting that he would love to see a superstar walk through the doors of Stamford Bridge under his reign. This was clear last summer in his efforts to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite manager Thomas Tuchel not wanting the transfer, conversations continued to occur between the two parties before the Portugal international eventually started the season at Manchester United.
