Mauricio Pochettino has shared that Chelsea are discussing making another signing at the top end of the pitch.

It’s been an extremely busy summer at Stamford Bridge for incomings and outgoings, but it sounds like more may happen in the final week of the transfer window.

Chelsea’s head coach admits there’s talks at the club about strengthening again in attack.

Speaking in an interview with Alan Shearer for The Athletic, Mauricio Pochettino explained that Chelsea “are talking” about signing another forward due to their recent injury problems.

The injury to Christopher Nkunku has certainly left a huge void in the Blues attack at the start of the season. In fact, Ashley Cole has described Nkunku’s injury absence as a “big loss” to Chelsea, as quoted by Sky Sports.

It was encouraging to see Raheem Sterling’s lively performance in last weekend’s defeat to West Ham, but concerns are growing about where the goals will come from this season once again.

Sterling, along with Nicolas Jackson, look like the most potent attacking threats while Nkunku is unavailable. Blues striker Armando Broja is soon to returning from injury, too.
