Chelsea have reportedly withdrawn their interest from signing a transfer target in La Liga.
It’s been claimed that the Blues are no longer pursuing a deal to sign Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.
Omorodion, who’s just 20, has been linked with a potential move to Stamford Bridge during this summer window.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside recently that Chelsea appreciate Omorodion this summer as a potential target.
Meanwhile, The Sun claimed that it could cost £70m to convince Atletico to sell their young forward.
However, fresh reports in Spain suggest that Chelsea’s pursuit is over.

Chelsea target Jonathan David and Karim Adeyemi after pulling out of Samu Omorodion race
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Chelsea have pulled out of the race to sign Atletico frontman Omorodion.
The report states that the Blues will now shift their focus towards two different attackers.
It is claimed that Chelsea will look at Lille’s Jonathan David and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.
The Chelsea Chronicle isn’t too upset about the Omorodion development.
He’s an exciting talent and he scored eight goals last season during a loan spell with Alaves.
However, the 20-year-old is still very inexperienced and hasn’t made his breakthrough at Atletico yet.
Jonathan David would be a great option
David scored 26 goals in 47 games last season for French club Lille.
We think the fast centre-forward could be the right profile to arrive at Stamford Bridge and compete with Nicolas Jackson for the No 9 position next year.
90min reported earlier in July that Chelsea are among the Premier League clubs interested in signing Lille star David.
He may be available for as cheap as £20m, so it’s a blessing in disguise if the club turned their attention towards him.
