Journalist Nick Purewal has claimed on the Football Terrace Youtube channel that there is still a chance that Chelsea go and sign Jules Kounde, despite big-money deals for Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Blues announced their first official signing of the summer yesterday, as it was finally confirmed the England international was joining the club.

He should closely be followed by Koulibaly, with the clubs agreeing a fee and personal terms not being a problem on a deal for the 31-year-old.
With talks accelerating for the Senegalese star, things have gone quiet on Kounde negotiations, despite him being a target from way before this season ended.
After negotiations fell through a year ago, he was expected to become the first name through the door this summer.
However, Purewal told the ‘Done Deal’ show that the club still hold an interest in completing the deal, despite the threat of Barcelona making a move.

Still a chance for Kounde to Chelsea
He said: “With Kounde, the interest is still there. It’s been long-term. Obviously they’ve shifted priorities and plans since the owners have changed. There’s still a chance it could happen, but it will come down to numbers with Sevilla. This time last year, those conversations didn’t go well.
“Where will Barcelona find the money to complete the deal that’s suitable to the selling club? There’s still a few question marks. I think if they get their house in order now, the business they’re trying to do will happen.”
Last month, it was claimed Chelsea had to complete the deal within a week to ensure the price stayed at £52m, otherwise the fee required would raise.

Kounde’s versatility is what makes him stand out from other targets, and this should be considered when choosing which centre-backs they look to add this summer.
Thomas Tuchel has the opportunity to ease the Frenchman in too, by starting him out wide, with Reece James to feature at centre-back until comfortable.
The signing of Kounde would be a big statement from the Blues, with the rival Catalan side already stealing Raphinha from under their noses. It provides an opportunity to showcase that they won’t be bullied in the transfer market under the new ownership.
