Chelsea apparently have a space for Levi Colwill in their long-term project.
In a conversation with GiveMeSport, Simon Phillips claimed the teenager is very much in line to re-join the ranks at Cobham permanently before too long.
Colwill has been forced to wait for his moment in the Stamford Bridge spotlight.
He is yet to make a senior appearance for his boyhood club, having spent the last two seasons out on loan.

The 19-year-old almost pushed Huddersfield Town to Premier League promotion last term, but missed out in the Championship play-off final.
His dream of reaching the top flight only had to be put on hold for a few months, however.
Brighton & Hove Albion signed the defender ahead of the current campaign, a move overseen by the new Chelsea chief himself.
Potter prizes Colwill
Graham Potter was in charge at the Amex when Colwill arrived on the South Coast.
Potter only picked the centre-back on three occasions before replacing Thomas Tuchel in South West London.
Robert De Zerbi became the latest Brighton boss and although was hesitant to use Colwill at first, has started him in the last four league matches.
Things are certainly beginning to soar for the young Seagull, but it seems his nest is still at Chelsea.

“I’m told that Levi’s still in the plans of Chelsea. Obviously, they’ve got this big emphasis on young players and building for the future, and with Colwill being young, Chelsea want him in the squad,” said Phillips.
“He’s one they have no plans on selling or loaning again. They want him to stay at Brighton for this season to develop because he still needs to develop.”
Colwill is close to a Chelsea return
Once the summer roles around, Colwill may well reunite with several of the Chelsea players.
Especially if Potter is still in charge, considering he was the one who brought him to Brighton in the first place.
But the academy graduate will not simply walk into the first-team unchallenged.
Benoit Badiashile’s arrival from Monaco should provide competition for the left-side central defensive role.

Then there’s also Kalidou Koulibaly, Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah and Wesley Fofana to compete with.
It won’t be easy for Colwill to stake a claim in the senior squad, but you can be certain he’ll give it a go.
