Following the decision made by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Chelsea can now sign players in January. This makes it easier to let players go, and make improvements in the gaps left behind. Here are three players Chelsea should let go in January.
Marcos Alonso

After a stunning season in Antonio Conte’s five at the back Chelsea side, Alonso has fallen out of favour with. managers and fans alike.
It is hard to argue with his set-piece ability and occasional goal in a crucial moment, but it is his defensive form that has let him down. Alonso’s lack of pace means he gets beaten too easily and can get caught too far forward without the ability to make it back.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Conte wants Alonso back with him at Inter Milan, and now could be a good time to sell for the Blues.
Pedro

Pedro is another Chelsea player who has fallen out of favour this season, making just four league appearances and scoring no goals.
After a disappointing performance against West Ham, it seems like the 32-year-old may have played his final minutes for the Blues. The Telegraph is reporting that Aston Villa are hoping to secure a deal for the Spaniard, and will offer him some much needed first-team football.
It makes sense for both parties if Pedro moves on in January.
Ross Barkley

Barkley is another who has fallen out of favour at the Bridge. After an impressive pre-season, the England international has been poor since. He has scored just once this season in all competitions for the Blues.
After a recent incident in a nightclub, Lampard criticized the 26-year-olds professionalism and it seems he won’t be getting into the Chelsea side anytime soon.
The Blues have a wealth of midfield options at their disposal. Now might be the right time to sell Barkley and give one of the younger players a chance to develop in his place.
