A director of Independiente Del Valle has claimed that Kendry Paez has already agreed a deal to become a Chelsea player.

He told El Canal Futbol via Fabrizio Romano that the interest from the Blues blew opposition out of the water, including fellow Premier League side Manchester United.

It was reported a few weeks ago that the club had agreed a deal to sign the incredibly promising midfielder, worth up to £17.5m if it rises with add ons.

The 15-year-old has already made his first team debut, and is impressing greatly already in his bid to become the next big star.

Now, the club’s director has confirmed that Paez will be part of the Chelsea side from 2025.

He said: “Today, I can say that Kendry Páez will be Chelsea player in 2025. We received bids from Man United and Borussia Dortmund but Chelsea showed super interest.”

Paez definitely joining Chelsea

The addition of the youngster is a staple of what Todd Boehly has been trying to bring to Stamford Bridge ever since he took over Chelsea.

The American’s first window in charge saw him bring in a number of younger players with the intention of developing those into first team players in the future.

These were highlighted by the addition of Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, who has shown a lot of promise despite having his minutes limited this season.

He may be handed more opportunities before the end of the campaign, due to injuries that have spread through the midfield players at the club.

The Blues have recently stopped him joining up with the U20 England side for the upcoming World Cup, which could suggest he is in Frank Lampard’s thinking for the upcoming games, where they will face three of the top four in the Premier League.
