The latest transfer rumours suggest that Chelsea’s first-team player is now on the wishlist of some high-profile clubs.
In the recent January transfer window, Chelsea’s focus was mainly on allowing players to leave Stamford Bridge. It led to the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell and Joao Felix going out on loan.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is ‘very happy’ with his squad as he looks to achieve success during his first season in the club’s dugout.
However, we’d argue there is still lots of work to do in future windows, especially on addressing the spine of the team. They definitely can’t afford to lose any key players in the current XI if they want to build success quickly.

Two Champions League clubs set sights on Chelsea player
According to The Sun, Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is attracting transfer interest from numerous potential suitors.
It is understood that Champions League clubs Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa admire the 23-year-old star. In particular, Spanish giants Atletico are plotting an ambitious summer move for a player they’ve admired for a long time, so they’d be at the front of the queue if he becomes available.
The report adds that Newcastle United are monitoring the Blues centre-forward, too.
Jackson is unavailable for Chelsea until April because of an injury, so he may be back to help out for the end-of-season run in. Afterwards, let’s wait and see if any interested clubs decide to ramp up transfer interest.

Should Chelsea consider selling Nicolas Jackson?
Jackson, who’s still under contract with Chelsea until 2023, may be attracting interest from top sides. However, we don’t believe the Blues should give even the smallest thought to possibly selling him.
The talented centre-forward definitely has what it takes to be an important part of the Blues squad looking ahead, especially if the club signs a proven striker to help ease the burden off him.
Edouard Mendy claims Chelsea’s Jackson has “crazy abilities”, something we’ve seen during his time in English football so far.

Cole Palmer previously said he works closely with Chelsea teammate Jackson, and the duo have formed quite a decent partnership on the pitch. It would be foolish to consider cashing in on the latter because he still has so much room to develop.
