‘Unstoppable’ winger considering all of his options amid links with Chelsea

One wide man joining Chelsea this summer looks possible as he refuses to take any option off the table.

It is an area of their squad that Chelsea have not been able to strengthen during this transfer window.

The Blues have signed Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, but the Brazilian will only be able to move to west London when he turns 18 next year.

There is still time for the club to add a new winger to their first team, though, with a couple of names being linked.

The above includes Juventus’ Federico Chiesa. Chiesa is not part of Juventus’ plans, making an exit inevitable this summer.

Juventus star Federico Chiesa considering all of his options

There has been dialogue between Chiesa’s agent and Chelsea, so perhaps a move to Stamford Bridge is one possibility.

If the Blues really are interested in Chiesa, it looks like the winger would at least consider a move there.

According to gianlucadimarzio.com, Chiesa is evaluating every possibility, including a switch to Juventus’ Serie A rivals AS Roma.

While the Italian may be someone who Chelsea have looked at, he does not appear to be a priority for them right now as they focus on signing a new centre-forward.

Federico Chiesa more likely to join AS Roma than Chelsea

Chiesa can be an absolutely deadly attacker on his day. “He’s unstoppable,” former Juventus team-mate Giorgio Chiellini told Stats Perform (via beIN SPORTS) last year.

However, the fact that Chelsea do have Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling and are targeting strikers at the moment makes a move to Roma seem more likely.

Chelsea are eyeing both Samu Omorodion and Victor Osimhen at the moment. Of course, Chiesa is quite versatile, so maybe Enzo Maresca would be able to make room for him in his squad.

With the Italy international’s Juventus career over, it may be something to keep an eye on. But for any Chelsea supporter hoping to see him arrive in west London, they should not get their hopes up too much.
