Brighton’s Robert Sanchez is now desperate to join Chelsea.
That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.
Phillips has reported on his Substack that Robert Sanchez is “very keen” to complete a move to Stamford Bridge and wants the transfer to happen as soon as possible.
He adds that the 25-year-old goalkeeper loves the project that is developing under Mauricio Pochettino in West London.

Well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on X yesterday that Chelsea have now sent a formal bid to Brighton for Sanchez.
Apparently, the Spanish shot-stopper is happy with Stamford Bridge as his next home.
So, can the Premier League rivals arrange this transfer?
It’s worth highlighting that The Daily Mail claimed last month Chelsea have put a £30million price tag on Sanchez.

Aside from Kepa Arrizabalaga, Chelsea took an extremely young crop of goalkeepers with them for the pre-season tour of the United States.
There’s no doubt that the Blues could do with a new quality keeper in the squad to compete with Kepa.
Edouard Mendy’s sale this summer has significantly weakened that area of the squad, so we can understand why there’s a need to chase a Premier League gloveman with experience.
Kepa and Sanchez, who have been in Spanish international camps together in the past could be brilliant competition for each other.
