Diego Simeone has not played down the possibility of Joao Felix leaving Atletico Madrid.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Simeone subduedly spoke about the Portugal international’s future at the club.
Felix’s career as an Atletico player is seemingly coming to an end, with a Premier League or Chelsea move potentially on the horizon.
His record-breaking £113m transfer to the Spanish side in 2019 has not yet been justified, and could go down as one of the great modern mistakes.
The 23-year-old is in need of steering his career back on track.

Thankfully for the attacker, it appears he will be able to find refuge and maybe a fresh future in England.
According to reports, Atletico are prepared to let Felix join a Premier League team on loan in January.
Stamford Bridge could well house the young forward, following claims he’s already been identified as a target by Todd Boehly.
Will Chelsea jump at the chance to sign Joao Felix?
As the curtain continues to close on the player’s tenure in La Liga, his manager has done very little to keep the cloth open.
“While he’s here, I’ll try to get the best out of João Felix for the club. Then we will see what’s gonna happen,” said Simeone.
Atletico’s coach can’t exactly claim to have gotten the best out of Felix so far.
He’s only started the former Benfica prodigy six times in the league this season, although he has managed four goals in his last three appearances.

Clearly there is still a bundle of talent to unfold.
Could Chelsea be the right place for Felix to unleash his gift?
Recent history tells us that those added to Cobham’s front line have failed pretty miserably.
Time to break the curse we think, Joao.
