West Ham United could make a move for one Chelsea player before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

Chelsea want to offload Armando Broja this week and West Ham may become an option for the striker, according to Sportslens.

The same outlet claims that the Blues value Broja at around £50m but no club is willing to pay that.

The 22-year-old has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea this season and scored two goals.

Chelsea legend Joe Cole has made it clear that he wants Broja to remain at Stamford Bridge.

West Ham could make late move for Armando Broja

Broja has been a target for West Ham in the past, so it would not be a surprise to see them make a move for him before the market shuts.

According to Sky Sports, the Hammers made a £30m bid for the Albania international in 2022 after a successful loan spell at Southampton.

During his time at St Mary’s, Broja made 38 appearances and scored nine goals, so it was a productive loan spell for him.

In the end, Broja remained at Chelsea despite West Ham’s interest, but it looks like they have a chance of landing him this month.

Broja has been a bit-part player under Mauricio Pochettino and he could be overlooked in the coming weeks if he stays in west London with Nicolas Jackson returning to the club soon.

The 22-year-old has not been in the picture of late because of his participation at the Africa Cup of Nations, but Senegal have just be knocked out of the tournament.

If Broja is to leave Chelsea, though, then the Blues are surely going to have to reduce their valuation. At £50m, understandably, no one seems to be willing to bite. Broja came back from a serious injury not too long ago.
