Chelsea are absolutely desperate to get rid of Romelu Lukaku this summer, but that has not resulted in them accepting any offer for him.

Napoli are keen on signing Romelu Lukaku, but Chelsea are yet to accept a bid from the Italian club.

As for the striker, he is also eager for a transfer to take place. It has been claimed that Lukaku and Antonio Conte have already been talking to each other.

While Lukaku could be heading to Napoli, Victor Osimhen could be moving to Chelsea, with a swap deal being mooted.

Chelsea’s stance on Romelu Lukaku softening

Understandably, Chelsea want to make as much money as they can from a Lukaku sale. After all, this is a player who cost the club almost £100m.

According to Gianlucadimarizo.com, the Blues have been requesting €40m (£36.7m) for their 31-year-old.

Napoli have only offered around €30m (£26.6m) so far, but the same website claims that Chelsea are now willing to sell Lukaku for less than their valuation.

It is good news for Napoli, who seem to really want him. Lukaku has already turned down Aston Villa, so there is not much competition for the Serie A outfit to worry about, if any at all.

Cesare Casadei could join Romelu Lukaku at Napoli

If Lukaku gets his move to Napoli, it looks like another Chelsea player, Cesare Casadei, could join him at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Napoli have discussed signing Casadei, though that was in talks with Chelsea about a swap deal involving Lukaku and Osimhen.

If Napoli go on to sign Lukaku separately, then the same will obviously have to happen with Casadei.

The midfielder does not appear to have a future under Enzo Maresca after being left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour. A return to Italy, then, could be good for the 21-year-old.

However, Chelsea’s priority right now will be agreeing some sort of deal with Napoli that would see them finally get Lukaku off their books for good.
