Armando Broja was tipped for big things when he first broke into Chelsea’s first team, but his career has been stop-start in recent years because of several injuries.
Armando Broja, who came through the Chelsea academy, has already had to deal with numerous injury setbacks.
At the age of 23, he’s still trying to really establish himself at one club. The Chelsea-owned player is currently on a season-long loan at Everton, where he’s struggled to stay fit again.
| Club | Appearances | Goals |
| Chelsea | 38 | 3 |
| Southampton | 38 | 9 |
| Vitesse Arnhem | 34 | 11 |
| Everton | 10 | 0 |
| Fulham | 8 | 0 |
It’s previously been reported that Chelsea are prepared to sell Broja this summer once his loan expires at Everton. However, we’re wondering how many suitors there will be after another injury-hit season during his time at Goodison Park.

Chelsea expect lots of interest in Armando Broja this summer
According to The Athletic, Chelsea sources believe there will be ‘significant interest’ in Broja in the summer transfer window because centre-forwards are always in demand.
It is explained that the Blues intend to sell the 23-year-old striker once his Everton loan runs out at the end of the season.
The report adds that Chelsea don’t plan to sell the Albania international on the cheap, and they could include a sell-on clause to increase revenue.
Apparently, there are suitors in Germany, France, Italy and Spain for him and the player is open to moving abroad. Everton have a £30m purchase option in Broja’s deal for the summer, but that’s seen as unrealistic because of more injury problems this season.
Chelsea do have big respect for Broja because of his rise from their academy to their senior group, but there’s an acceptance that he needs to be moved on.

Chelsea once thought Armando Broja was destined for the top
At one stage, Broja looked primed for a huge career before injuries knocked his progress.
Back in October 2022, it was reported that Chelsea believed Broja could become one of Europe’s best strikers. Instead, he’s had to be extremely patient in the last couple of years as he tries to get himself fit and firing again.
Of course, he’s still got time on his side to fulfil his potential if he stays available and finds the right club.
Our major concern for the young attacker is that he may have lost a yard of pace, which is significant because he was lethal in behind a few years ago.
