Juventus star Gleison Bremer could be the central defender Chelsea sign in the new year.
Centre-back has been a problem position for Chelsea this season, with Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo currently out injured.
Wesley Fofana has also missed the Blues’ last two games because of a concussion.
With that in mind, Chelsea could do with Bremer right now and may eventually get their hands on him.

Gleison Bremer’s release clause makes Chelsea deal very possible
Last month, it was claimed that Chelsea had identified Bremer as a target for the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old is a key player for Juventus, so they will not want to lose him. However, they may be powerless to prevent Bremer from leaving Turin.
According to Flashscore, Bremer has a €60m (£52.2m) release clause in his contract, which appears to have caught Chelsea’s attention.
The same outlet claims that Chelsea sources are not ruling out a deal because of how affordable his release clause is.
A move to Stamford Bridge would see Bremer link up with compatriots Joao Pedro, Estevao Willian and Andrey Santos.
With Colwill expected to be out for most of the season, there is no doubt that Enzo Maresca would be delighted with the signing of Bremer in January.

Why Chelsea have good chance of beating Liverpool to Gleison Bremer’s signature
According to Flashscore’s report, Liverpool are also interested in Bremer but are still prioritising Marc Guehi.
It could allow Chelsea to move quicker for the Brazil international and beat their Premier League rivals to his signature.
However, Chelsea also happen to be interested in Guehi, so there is a possibility that they end up with the Crystal Palace captain, while Liverpool land Bremer.
Given the current state of Chelsea’s central defence, Maresca would take either in January. Both look attainable as well, so it would be disappointing if the Club World Cup winners missed out on both.
