Manchester United will soon make another transfer bid for Chelsea’s Mason Mount.
That is according to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Mason Mount saga has been a popular topic during the opening week of the summer transfer window, with United attempting to bring him to Old Trafford for next season.
The Daily Mail claimed yesterday that Chelsea rejected United’s £50million offer for Mount and told them he’s available for £65million.
Now, it sounds like Erik ten Hag’s side will make a fresh attempt for the 24-year-old Blues star.

Romano has explained on Twitter that United are going to bid again for Mount.
Apparently, the Red Devils want to speed things up to get the deal done quickly.
“Understand Manchester United will bid again for Mason Mount. Personal terms are 100% agreed and sealed,” Romano said.
“Mount plans not to sign new deal at Chelsea.
“Man Utd want quick resolution — and won’t make ‘crazy’ bids.
“Chelsea now flexible; £60/65m enough to get it done.”

It looks like there’s a massive player exodus happening at Chelsea this summer, but will Mount be among those to leave the club?
The attacking midfielder has proven he can be a real force in both Premier League and Champions League football, albeit his form did take a dip last season.
We would prefer for Mount to stay with his boyhood club, but a quick sale makes sense if the writing is on the wall anyway.
The Blues have added Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig to the squad for next season, but we will need another to fill a Mount-sized hole.
