Fabrizio Romano has claimed to ‘The United Stand’ that Barcelona are extremely interested in a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko.
The Germany international has recently been linked with a move to Chelsea after news of his hesitance to stay with the Bundesliga side became apparent.
The teenager’s current contract expires at the end of this season, with there currently being no signs that he is to extend his stay.

Reports from December claimed the Blues were serious in their interest for Moukoko, who has recently broken records for the German national team.
His appearance at the World Cup in Qatar saw him become the youngest from his country to appear in the competition, a great accomplishment based on their illustrious history.
However, they may be about to face a similar opponent in transfer negotiations.
Barcelona interested in Moukoko
Romano has claimed that Barcelona are extremely keen on a deal for the youngster, however are looking to the summer for when to make their move.
He said: “We heard a lot of rumours about Barcelona. It is true Barcelona appreciates Moukoko, they would love to sign Moukoko on a free as a back-up to Robert Lewandowski. But only in the summer, Barcelona will not move for Moukoko in January, and this is an opportunity for the English clubs.”

The Catalan side have been a thorn in the side of the Blues are a while now, ever since the last summer transfer window.
The La Liga outfit completed the signings of Raphinha and Jules Kounde before this season began from under Chelsea’s noses, although the fortunes of the Brazilian in particular are far from ideal.
