Somewhat out of nowhere, Tottenham Hotspur have gone crazy at this early stage in the transfer window and more is to come – having added two of Chelsea’s attacking targets to their shopping list.
Already, Spurs have spent close to £250m despite three of their six signings added on a free. Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka have all joined Roberto De Zerbi’s side on free transfers.
DISCUSS: Jarrod Bowen is a better signing than Rafael Leao…
Chelsea have been linked with both this summer.
But Spurs have also signed Jan Paul van Hecke for just over £50m. West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes is set to join from West Ham for £85m, while a deal for Sandro Tonali, expected to cost £100m, is also close.
A whopping £235m spent on three signings, while Chelsea are still yet to make major moves in the window. But Spurs aren’t done, and now, they’ve added two attackers to their list on Chelsea’s radar.
Tottenham could pip Chelsea to two attacking signings
Bournemouth wonderkid Eli Junior Kroupi has been strongly linked with Chelsea over the last couple of months after a glorious debut season in the Premier League, in which the Frenchman scored 13 goals.

The former Lorient man is rated at £80m, and while Bournemouth have made it into the Europa League, Kroupi remains a target for Chelsea. It is claimed Chelsea have held talks with Kroupi’s representatives.
The same goes for AC Milan’s Portuguese star Rafael Leao. Interest in Leao has died down somewhat, but Leao has made it clear he wants to leave Milan, and Chelsea are supposedly among the winger’s admirers.
Now, The Independent’s Miguel Delaney claims Tottenham are focusing on their attack and have added both Leao and Kroupi to their shortlist, as Spurs look to go big again early on in the transfer market.

Chelsea need to get a move on if they’re to keep up with Spurs
De Zerbi’s side are also looking at a goalkeeper, with Chelsea target James Trafford also supposedly on Spurs’ radar, with the England World Cup stopper struggling to get game time at Manchester City.
Spurs could end up spending £350m, the kind of figure associated with Chelsea during the early years under BlueCo’s ownership. Chelsea, this summer, have confirmed one new addition in Marco Palestra.
With Marco Palestra officially in the building, does he instantly start over Reece James or Malo Gusto?👀
The Serie A defender of the year joins for £47m including add-ons, as the first signing of Alonso’s era. Valentin Barco, Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, and others will also arrive at Chelsea this summer.
Indeed, Quenda and Dastan Satpaev are already at Cobham training, with Chelsea’s players due to return to pre-season training in a week. If Chelsea are to keep up with Spurs, they need to get a real move on.
