A video has emerged of Atletico Madrid fans booing forward Joao Felix when his name was announced at the stadium last night.
The video on Pascual Ruiz Arnal’s Twitter has shown the 23-year-old being loudly jeered by his own supporters just weeks after he left Chelsea.
It has been quite the 2023 for Felix so far, however it doesn’t seem as if a positive twist as far as on the pitch is coming his way.

He flattered to deceive during his loan spell at Stamford Bridge, which was very much seen as his opportunity to go get himself out of what has been a nightmare at Atletico Madrid.
However, the Blues, particularly new manager Mauricio Pochettino, were not impressed with what he provided in a dire campaign all round, and elected not to pursue a permanent deal.
Felix booed by own fans
The Argentine’s time in West London got underway with a promising point at home to Liverpool, where his side were easily the better of the two who will be pushing for a top four finish.
Since not being kept on at Chelsea, Felix has often cut an irritated figure at his parent club, with him at times training away from the recognised first team under Diego Simeone.
Things went from bad to worse however last night as supporters loudly made their feelings known about the player.

Despite an injury to Christopher Nkunku, a return to Stamford Bridge is reportedly by no means in the works.
Instead, the most likely transfer at this stage seems to be one to Saudi Arabia, which would be a phenomenal change in fortunes for the player still years from his prime.
Chelsea are considering making another signing to their attack, however the name frequently mentioned is Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.
