Kepa Arrizabalaga will reportedly retain the primary goalkeeping position at Chelsea ahead of Edouard Mendy.
According to the Evening Standard, Kepa has been ‘restored as the club’s’ number one and ‘looks set to continue’ when the Premier League restarts next week.
The 28-year-old had regained the gloves earlier in the campaign, after spending so long in Mendy’s shadow.
In injury to the Senegal international allowed the Spaniard to take his place between the posts.
Mendy was back on the bench after a few games out, but had to watch on from the dugout as Kepa shone under the spotlight.
He kept three consecutive league clean sheets in October, adding another two shut-outs in the Champions’ League group stage.
His good run came to a sad end, however.

Kepa sustained an injury in the 4-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, forcing him to miss the remaining matches ahead of the World Cup.
Graham Potter had no choice but to recall Mendy for the remaining fixtures, a forced change that did not provide the goods.
The £22m signing from Rennes conceded six times in five appearances before jetting off to Qatar.
Todd Boehly has apparently not been impressed by the ‘keeper’s poor form, and is seemingly in the market for alternative options.
Mendy seemingly shares the sour view of the owner, with suggestions that he recently turned down a six-year contract.
It is not looking good for Edouard.
