Todd Boehly is really impressed by Mauricio Pochettino after hearing his vision for Chelsea, according to reports.

The Blues continue to search for their next permanent manager, who will be the long-term successor to Graham Potter. As it stands, Frank Lampard is in place as interim boss until the end of the season.

There is a lot of speculation in the media right now about the next brave man to take a seat in the dugout at Stamford Bridge.

In particular, the talks around Mauricio Pochettino are beginning to gather pace.

The Independent claims that Pochettino has impressed the Chelsea hierarchy after further talks with them.

In particular, Blues co-owner Todd Boehly is struck by the 51-year-old’s clear vision for the club.

The report adds that there’s still no clear favourite on who will become the next manager, but Pochettino is on a final four-man shortlist of candidates. Julian Nagelsmann is named as another final contender, too.

With Pochettino still in the running to take charge, Chelsea may soon have to forget about his strong Tottenham connections.

The Independent explains that the Argentine coach, who’s been out of work since leaving Paris Saint-Germain last year, is keen to return to the Premier League.

It certainly sounds like he’s ticking lots of boxes during the interview process at Stamford Bridge.

Gary Neville said in early April that Pochettino would be the correct managerial appointment for Chelsea.

It sounds like there’s still more work to do in this process, but we’re now hearing a lot more about the former Spurs boss.

He knows the English game well from his time with Spurs and Southampton. He’s worked with some of the sport’s biggest superstars inside the Paris Saint-Germain dressing room as well.
