Reports have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to have homegrown stars as part of his Chelsea side if he gets the manager’s job.
According to The Times, the Argentine believes their presence is useful in building a culture at a club.
Pochettino has emerged as the clear favourite to take over at Stamford Bridge after a number of other candidates have fallen by the wayside.

The likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique were originally seen as the top candidates for the role as soon as Graham Potter was sacked.
However, the German in particular had reservations over how long the recruitment process was taking, and began to fear that the job was no longer his to lose as new candidates emerged.
The likes of Burnley’s Vincent Kompany became left-field shouts for the job, after what has been an extremely impressive first season in England at Burnley.
Pochettino wants to use homegrown players
Despite that, it is Pochettino that has been given a clear path to the job, baring that negotiations over a contract continue to go as well as they have begun.
It has begun to emerge some of the plans the former Tottenham manager has if he is given the keys to Stamford Bridge.

Reports yesterday suggested that he had a plan to build the foundations of his defence around current loanee Levi Colwill, who is only 20 years of age and linked to a number of other top sides.
This fits in with the claims that he is looking to ensure the homegrown stars at Chelsea are given the opportunity to impress.
This may include Mason Mount, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the club after a wide gap in negotiations over a new contract.
