Former Chelsea superstars John Terry, Ashley Cole and Petr Cech have all been nominated for a place in the Premier League Hall of Fame.

The Premier League tweeted out their 15 nominees for this year’s prestigious honour, with the trio among some of the country’s greatest ever players.

Fellow legends and Champions League winners Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba already have their place in the elite club, honouring their time in the Premier League.

Eight players have been inducted in each of the last two years, meaning there is a great chance that the Blues have another member or two in the Hall of Fame this year.

Terry and Cole have returned to the club in recent seasons for coaching work, with them both sharing their expertise with some of the youngsters at the club in an attempt to get them ready for the first team.

Cech on the other hand had a role on the board under previous owner Roman Abramovich.

However, the change of ownership brought about switches in personnel, and the former goalkeeper left his role last year.

An incredibly successful spell with all of these players together from the mid-2000s all the way up until the mid-2010s brought numerous Premier League trophies to the club, not to mention the heap of domestic and European honours too.

With the Hall of Fame now becoming a yearly feature, it will be interesting to see which players from the club’s Premier League history are nominated next.

The current side are sure to be holding some future nominees. N’golo Kante’s impact on two title-winning teams will surely see his career honoured when he eventually calls time on his playing days.

Cesar Azpilicueta has also been extremely reliable and successful in the last decade, and winning every trophy available will not go unnoticed amongst those who make the decisions.
