BlueCo could actually benefit from potential Alexander Isak sale without Chelsea even signing him

Newcastle United potentially selling Alexander Isak this summer could have a domino effect that impacts Chelsea.

Chelsea have shown interest in Isak in the past, but a move to Stamford Bridge in this transfer window seems unlikely.

The Blues have already signed two new strikers, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. They could still benefit from Isak’s desire to leave St James’ Park, though, even without signing him.

If Newcastle do sell Isak, it’s going to leave the Magpies in a desperate situation, one their Premier League rivals could take advantage of.

Chelsea could sell Nicolas Jackson to Newcastle for profit

Earlier this month, it was claimed that Newcastle were one club interested in Nicolas Jackson.

That interest has not materialised into anything, but that could be about to change following the latest development surrounding Isak.

Jackson is a forward with Premier League experience and a decent record at a top club like Chelsea. Simply put, it would be a bit of a surprise if Newcastle did not consider him as a potential replacement for Isak.

It is thought that Chelsea value Jackson at £80m, £1m more than what Liverpool paid for Hugo Ekitike.

It is unlikely that Newcastle would spend such a huge fee on a player who has still looked quite raw in the Premier League at times.

But after spending just £32m on the 24-year-old, Chelsea are almost certain to make some kind of profit on him. A £50m or £60m fee does not sound outrageous in this day and age. Newcastle have already spent £55m on Anthony Elanga, a winger who will not win his team as many games as a No.9 like Jackson.

Ultimately, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali‘s BlueCo could find themselves profiting from Newcastle selling Isak to someone else, quite literally.

Why Newcastle will be so frustrated with Chelsea right now amid Alexander Isak development

Had this summer gone a bit differently, Pedro could have been the man in line to succeed Isak at St James’ Park.

Newcastle wanted to sign Pedro, but the Brazilian ended up at Chelsea, where he is already shining.

Pedro impressed at this year’s Club World Cup, helping Chelsea to win the whole tournament. The 23-year-old scored two goals in the semi-finals before netting again in the final.

Now at risk of losing Isak, Newcastle will be even more annoyed with Chelsea for beating them to the signing of Pedro, who could have been the perfect replacement for their Swedish talisman.
