Chelsea scouts will want Turkey star to replace Alejandro Garnacho after World Cup debut

Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho is not at this year’s World Cup after being left out of Argentina’s squad.

It comes after a disappointing season at Chelsea, where the 21-year-old was only able to score one goal in the Premier League.

On the other hand, another talented 21-year-old has made it to the tournament after shining for his club and performed well in his first World Cup match despite his country’s defeat.

Anthony Gordon starred for England against Costa Rica but is no longer an option for Chelsea. Which left winger should we now sign? 🤔

Chelsea target Kenan Yildiz impresses despite Turkey’s 2-0 loss to Australia

Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz was only able to play for 45 minutes against Australia after just recovering from an injury, but he still managed to make a positive impact.

Chelsea are believed to have Yildiz on their radar, so if the Blues had a scout at that game, they would have been impressed with what they saw.

Although they lost in the end, Turkey improved in attack with Yildiz’s introduction. According to Sofascore, he took six shots, made one key pass and completed one dribble.

All of his shots were blocked, but being direct and trying to score can only be viewed as a good thing.

Garnacho did not do enough of that last season. He was not direct enough and rarely tried to test the opposition goalkeeper.

Chelsea could now sell Garnacho, and Yildiz could be a good replacement on the left-hand side. Turkey’s loss to Australia was a small taste of what he can do.

Chelsea want a versatile attacker, and Yildiz can play as a left winger or in a role just behind the striker. That is another box he ticks.

The Blues do not have Champions League football to offer, though, while the player’s price tag is not small. It is thought that Juventus value Yildiz at £87m.

Whatever the case, he could be a suitable name to replace Garnacho and is probably one Chelsea scouts are recommending.
