Chelsea would be making a big mistake by letting ‘special’ player join London rivals

One of Chelsea’s summer signings is already being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea had a busy summer transfer window after bringing in the likes of Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho.

However, because of the strength of their squad, not all of their signings have been regulars this season. For example, Joao Felix and Tosin Adarabioyo have only started two and three games each respectively in the Premier League, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has not been named in Enzo Maresca‘s first XI once in the top flight.

There is now speculation about West Ham United being interested in one of the Blues’ recent recruits.

Chelsea should not loan Tosin Adarabioyo to West Ham

With Adarabioyo not starting for Chelsea at the moment, it looks like West Ham could try and make a move for him in January.

It has been reported that West Ham are interested in signing Adarabioyo on loan, but he is certainly a player worth keeping around if you are Chelsea.

When Adarabioyo has played, he has not done a bad job for the Blues. For example, in Chelsea’s 3-0 win against West Ham ironically, the 27-year-old was excellent.

That day, he made five clearances, the third most in the game, and blocked two shots.

With Wesley Fofana out injured once again, Maresca could end up having much use for Adarabioyo, who has been described as “special” in the past by former manager Marco Silva.

“Tosin is a special player for us,” Silva was quoted as saying by BeIN SPORTS last season.

Will Chelsea let Tosin Adarabioyo join West Ham?

Having only signed Adarabioyo in the summer, it would be a bit of a surprise if Chelsea allowed the former England youth international to join West Ham in January.

Even though he has not been playing regularly, which has been down to the form of Fofana and Levi Colwill, Maresca still seems to be a fan of the player.

Back in September, Maresca praised Adarabioyo for the leadership he was showing at Chelsea, saying: “He is one of the leaders in the dressing room. We are very delighted and very happy with him.”
