Enzo Maresca has claimed that he is in love with one Chelsea star following his side’s win against West Ham United over the weekend.
Chelsea beat West Ham 3-0 at the London Stadium on Saturday, with a Nicolas Jackson brace and second-half Cole Palmer strike securing all three points for the Blues.
It was a good attacking display, but Enzo Maresca‘s men were also very solid at the back.
The likes of Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill helped Chelsea to keep their second Premier League clean sheet of the season. Before the West Ham game, Fofana claimed it was easy to play alongside Colwill, with the pair quickly becoming key players for Maresca.

Enzo Maresca in love with Wesley Fofana
Colwill has played every minute of Chelsea’s five Premier League games this season, while Maresca has stated that he is in love with Fofana.
Simply put, right now, the two central defenders are two players whom their new manager cannot live without.
“Wes is a player I really love and we love Wes because he is doing fantastic after one year of injury,” Maresca said about Fofana when discussing the 23-year-old after Chelsea’s win against West Ham.
With both Malo Gusto and Reece James out injured, Fofana had to start the match at right-back. Maresca could have gone with Axel Disasi like in the Blues’ previous win against Bournemouth, but he went with his compatriot instead.
By doing so, it shows that Maresca is going to use Fofana when he is fit this season, while his comments also suggest that the Frenchman is going to be an automatic starter.
Wesley Fofana needs Malo Gusto and Reece James back
After being out injured for so long, Fofana will just be happy to be on the pitch again.
However, the France international is obviously not a right-back, despite playing there against West Ham and Bournemouth.
Having struck up a good relationship with Colwill, he will want to return to central defence and play in his natural position. With that in mind, Fofana will be hoping that Gusto and James can stay fit this season.
