Mauricio Pochettino will certainly be beginning to feel the heat that normally comes with occupying the hotseat as manager at Chelsea.

Results in recent weeks have not gone to plan for the boss and the Blues, with their last two defeats coming in games that on paper will have felt very winnable.

The most recent loss to Everton will likely be overshadowed by the plethora of injury blows Pochettino’s side faced.

Reece James is now set to miss at least three months of action due to another hamstring issue. It has even been claimed by a source at the club that it could be even longer before he is back to his best.

Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez were also forced off at Goodison Park due to injuries, leaving the manager a number of conundrums to solve for his next team selection.

The Blues are looking ahead to welcoming Sheffield United to Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with a return to winning ways absolutely essential to ease pressure on the staff and players.

While he has injury worries at the back, Pochettino will also need to think about refreshing things up top to try and solve their recent goal drought.#

Pochettino has to play Nkunku

He has so far been holding back Christopher Nkunku as he continues to regain his fitness after an injury he suffered at the end of pre-season.

Despite being spotted in training for a few weeks now, the £52m summer signing is yet to be featured in a matchday squad in the Premier League.

While it is of course essential not to rush him back, the situation has got to the point where Chelsea need their best players on the pitch, and Nkunku fits that mold.

The France international simply has to be involved on Saturday and try and lift the performances on the pitch, as well as the mood in the stands.
