Chelsea could sign a new left-back this summer, but it looks like they will miss out on Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez.
Chelsea were linked with Kerkez back in January; however, the 21-year-old could now be set to join one of their Premier League rivals instead.
Enzo Maresca has Marc Cucurella for the left-back position, but the Italian will need cover for him next season.
With that in mind, here are three left-backs Chelsea should be prioritising going into the summer transfer window.
Antonee Robinson

According to GiveMeSport, Kerkez is now expected to join Liverpool, so Chelsea may have to turn to someone else like Fulham’s Antonee Robinson.
The USA international is already thought to be on their radar. It has been claimed that Chelsea have scouted Robinson, who would have impressed his west London rivals with some of his performances this season.
In 29 Premier League appearances, the 27-year-old has registered 10 assists, which is an excellent return for a full-back.
Rayan Ait-Nouri

If Chelsea want a Premier League-proven left-back, then Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Ait-Nouri is another name for them to consider.
Again, he is another player who has already caught the club’s attention. Towards the end of last year, it was claimed that Chelsea were showing interest in Ait-Nouri.
Ait-Nouri loves to hug the touchline, though, often playing as a left wing-back. He may not do too well playing as an inverted full-back under Maresca.
Theo Hernandez

Finally, Theo Hernandez represents an option from another league, and the France international could be available when the transfer window opens.
With his contract expiring next year, AC Milan could have no choice but to sell Hernandez in the summer.
Perhaps Chelsea could offer Joao Felix to Milan in a deal for Hernandez, as the Portuguese does not look to have a future at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues still have his compatriot Renato Veiga on their books, a player who can start at left-back. But if he goes, then they will definitely need to sign one of the above names or someone else ahead of the 2025/26 season.
