'A must next window': Some Chelsea fans eager to sign 'incredible' £25m man after CL display
Jude Bellingham again caught the hearts and minds of Chelsea supporters on social media for his latest Champions League antics.
Bellingham was a beaming light for Borussia Dortmund yesterday, as they overcome Besiktas 2-1 in their curtain-raiser game of the competition.
The teenager opened the scoring in really sharp fashion, smashing a volley through the goalkeeper’s legs after making a run from deep.
He then set up Erling Haaland for Dortmund’s second 20 minutes later, gliding past Besiktas defenders before pulling it back for the Norwegian striker.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
It was a first half full of finesse and flourish, which didn’t slow down after the interval.
Rightly so, Bellingham was named UEFA’s man of the match at the final whistle.
Chelsea fans watched on in awe of the midfielder’s performance, yearning for his talents in a blue jersey.
Here is how some Chelsea supporters reacted on Twitter:
Followers of the Blues have not just attached themselves to Bellingham overnight.
Their fondness stems from the fact the England international is reportedly firmly on the club’s transfer radar.
There isn’t a team on the continent who wouldn’t want to work with the former Birmingham City gem.
His original £25m (Sky Sports) fee from St Andrew’s to Signal Iduna Park has now quadrupled in value.
Chelsea are still trying to complete their midfielder pack, with the late addition of Saul Niguez a stopgap for the time being.
A move for Bellingham probably won’t arise until at least next summer, although Dortmund remain adamant their young prodigy is going nowhere.
