'It will be close': Tuchel shares which two Chelsea players are a doubt tomorrow night vs Leeds

Chelsea duo Jorginho and N’Golo Kante could potentially return from respective injuries tomorrow.

The Blues are preparing ahead of a trip to Yorkshire on Wednesday for a Premier League fixture away to Leeds United.

Kante, who’s missed the last two games through injury, is line for a potential return. It’s still up in the air on if he’ll make the Elland Road trip, though.

Similarly, fellow Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is another sidelined recently because of an injury problem. It sounds like he’s still a doubt to play at Leeds, but it’s not completely out of the question at this stage.

“We are fighting for Jorginho and we are fighting for N’Golo for tomorrow but it will be close. I don’t know if we’ll make it,” Blues manager Thomas Tuchel said.

Kante would be big miss

It’s likely to be a cauldron of noise that Chelsea walk into tomorrow against a Leeds side fighting hard to avoid relegation.

Fortunately, Tuchel’s side have enjoyed more success on the road this season.

If Kante returns to the squad and starting line-up, it would be a major boost.

The 31-year-old box-to-box midfielder has the energy needed to compete with a high intensity Leeds XI, but it would be a worry to throw him straight into the action after an injury.

There’s got to be an application of huge work and effort to be a success at Leeds.

Paul Merson previously suggested the club could consider selling Kante this summer. However, Fabrizio Romano reports the London club will make it a priority to give him a new contract.
