Chelsea travel to Old Trafford this weekend looking to end their poor record away to Manchester United. Therefore, all eyes will be on Blues head coach Enzo Maresca to see what he does with his starting line-up.
It’s been a decent start for the Blues in the Premier League, winning two and drawing two in their opening four top-flight matches.
Chelsea did suffer a 3-1 defeat away to Bayern Munich in midweek during their return to the Champions League, so the players would love to respond on Saturday in Manchester.

Remarkably, Chelsea haven’t won at Old Trafford in the Premier League since 2013.

Goalkeeper – Robert Sanchez
Robert Sanchez, the first-choice goalkeeper, kicks off the predicted XI in unexpected fashion.
Joe Cole raved about Sanchez after the shot-stopper’s impressive performance against Bayern on Wednesday night. Even though the Spaniard has plenty of doubters, he should feel confident of picking up a clean sheet against Man Utd this weekend.
Defence – Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah, Josh Acheampong, Marc Cucurella
We saw Reece James play in central midfield at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League, but we expect to see him swap roles to his more conventional right-back spot against Man Utd.
Trevoh Chalobah, who scored an own goal against Bayern, keeps his spot at centre-half. However, exciting youngster Josh Acheampong could replace Tosin Adarabioyo in the heart of defence.
To complete the back four, Marc Cucurella continues at left-back.
Midfield – Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer
We suspect the tried and tested powerhouse Chelsea midfield to at least start the trip to Manchester, even though you could make a solid argument for some rotation.
Enzo Fernandez could start in the centre of the park next to Moises Caicedo. That leaves Blues talisman Cole Palmer, who completed 90 minutes against Bayern, to operate in the No.10 role.
Chelsea fans want Andrey Santos to start over Fernandez against Man Utd this weekend, but we would be surprised to see the head coach do that.

Attack – Pedro Neto, Joao Pedro, Alejandro Garnacho
Perhaps the most intrigue with the team selection comes with the attack.
Even though Estevao Willian deserves to start, Pedro Neto starts on the right wing in the predicted line-up.
On the left wing, the decision could be made to give Alejandro Garnacho his first-ever Chelsea start, which would be fascinating against his former club. Pat Nevin isn’t convinced by the Garnacho signing, but it feels like the perfect opportunity for him to make a loud impact on his return to Old Trafford.
Joao Pedro leads the line again in the centre-forward position to complete the XI. Hopefully, we get to see Marc Guiu on the bench this time around.
