Lee Dixon thought Chelsea defender Malo Gusto had a stormer against Crystal Palace tonight.
It was Malo Gusto who set up Mykhailo Mudryk’s opener after some brilliant work and Lee Dixon, commentating on the match for Prime Video, suggested that the 20-year-old put in a complete full-back performance.
Gusto should get a good run in the Chelsea team with Reece James expected be out for months because of a hamstring injury.
The Blues signed the Frenchman from Lyon earlier this year for around £30m (BBC Sport).
Lee Dixon thinks Malo Gusto had a stormer
Dixon praised Gusto for getting a lot of things right in Chelsea’s London derby with Palace.
On the right-back, the former Arsenal man said: “Gusto is absolutely having a stormer at the right-back position, playing almost like a right wing-back, just the ball, the choice of ball, the decision-making of him has been absolutely spot on.
“And the defending has been pretty good as well, which you don’t normally say about full-backs these days.”

Malo Gusto must now be one of the first names on Chelsea’s team sheet
With James sidelined, Mauricio Pochettino has to keep on using Gusto at right-back.
The Argentine has tried to use Axel Disasi there a few times this season, but the 25-year-old, being a central defender, does not offer the same kind of attacking threat that his compatriot does.
Chelsea already have one centre-half, Levi Colwill, playing at left-back. It would be so counterproductive to do the same thing on the opposite flank.
With that in mind, then, hopefully Gusto can remain fit and avoid any more suspensions. The former Lyon man has picked up a couple of injuries and been banned for a few games this season. With both James and Marc Cucurella sidelined, Chelsea need him to avoid those things.
