Chelsea fans vented their frustration during the first half of their side’s 2-1 win against Newcastle United earlier.

It was an annoying first 45 minutes for the Stamford Bridge faithful, who saw Cole Palmer have an early goal ruled out for offside.

Chelsea did eventually take the lead through Nicolas Jackson, but the striker’s goal was cancelled out by Alexander Isak.

It was a Chelsea player, though, who really seemed to have frustrated the home support. Jackson’s opener was his sixth of the season. Jackson won praise from Frank Leboeuf after his previous outing.

Chelsea fans frustrated with Robert Sanchez

The spotlight has been on Robert Sanchez recently, with the goalkeeper making a few mistakes during games.

Former Arsenal shot-stopper David Seaman has labelled Sanchez as “inconsistent”, and many Chelsea fans would probably agree with him.

It seems some were not too happy with his passing during Chelsea’s victory against Newcastle earlier.

According to journalist Bobby Vincent, who was at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea supporters grew frustrated with the 26-year-old’s distribution.

Newcastle United game not Robert Sanchez’s worst

Sanchez performed much better in wins against West Ham United and Bournemouth.

For example, during Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium, Sanchez made an impressive seven saves (via Sofascore).

His display against Newcastle, though, was certainly not his worst this season. The Spaniard played much worse when his former club Brighton & Hove Albion visited Stamford Bridge last month, making a couple of errors that resulted in goals for the Seagulls.

The other goalkeeper option that Enzo Maresca has is Filip Jorgensen. But the Italian has made it clear that Sanchez, who joined the Blues from Brighton in a £25m deal last summer, is his No.1.

Maresca is going to be patient with the Spain international, but it looks like some Chelsea fans have already lost patience with him. His distribution is really infuriating them right now.
