Chelsea have now reportedly made an enquiry to sign one of Inter Milan’s star players.
According to Caught Offside, the Blues have registered an interest in signing the 25-year-old Federico Dimarco if the opportunity arises.
DiMarco’s biggest moment of his career so far has undoubtedly been appearing in the Champions League final up against treble-chasing Manchester City.
Despite an individually impressive display, the Serie A side fell just short as they were defeated 1-0.
There may be some fingers pointed at Romelu Lukaku, who was on loan from Chelsea at the time.
He missed a number of good chances as well as blocking one from one of his own teammates from close range.
While Dimarco has been of interest to the Blues, the report goes on to say that he is expected to commit his future to Inter.
Back at Stamford Bridge, the left-back position has gone under some change as this season has gone on.
Predicted usual suspect Ben Chilwell has instead been replaced for the majority of the campaign there by Levi Colwill, who has admitted personally he is more used to playing in the middle of defence.
