19-year-old is now back at Chelsea after being recalled from loan, John Terry really rates him

Reports have claimed that one Chelsea youngster is now back at the club after failing to make the desired impact during his time on loan this season.

According to Peterborough Today, 19-year-old Zak Sturge is back at the club after his time with the League One side was cut short.

Sturge made 15 appearances for The Posh this season, however struggled to break into the team on a regular appearance. He never started a league match.

He hadn’t featured at all since the start of December, and it looked as if he was unlikely to make an impact there for the remainder of this season.

During his time as a youngster at Chelsea, he caught the eye of one club legend in particular for one performance he put in.

John Terry was full of praise for him earlier this year for a display for the U21s, with that certainly being a worthwhile seal of approval.

Sturge back at Chelsea

It remains to be seen what the plan is for Sturge for the remainder of the campaign, and whether he will be back with the Blues for the remainder of this campaign.

The club will be looking for a number of players to go out on loan again this month, with Andrey Santos also almost certainly going to return to Stamford Bridge too.

Despite there being plenty of optimism surrounding his future in the game, he has endured a horrific loan spell so far at Nottingham Forest, making just one start in all competitions and very rarely even making the matchday squad in recent months.

They could also be searching for a new temporary home for Hakim Ziyech if reports are true coming out of Turkey, with it being claimed that Galatasaray are considering ending his loan spell with the European side early.
