Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez is now statistically the Blues’ best player so far this season.
That is according to the Mail Online, who have worked with SofaScore to compile a list of every team’s best player so far this season.
Fernandez has started every league game for the club so far this campaign, with him quickly becoming a key player for manager Mauricio Pochettino in his first few months at the club.

While the Blues currently sit in the bottom half of the table, performances have certainly warranted a place higher so far.
Finishing has ultimately been a big concern for the Blues for the majority of the season. Nicolas Jackson has had a number of fingers pointed at him throughout the season.
However, the last two games have seen six goals scored, potentially suggesting that they have turned a corner in that sense.

It remains to be seen whether that will be enough to stand up to the challenge of Arsenal visiting Stamford Bridge as the Premier League returns.
There will have certainly been fears amongst the fanbase that Fernandez would not be available after representing his country in South America this week.
However, the Argentine posted on his Instagram to confirm that he had returned to training in time for the game.

He has played in a number of positions in midfield so far this season, with him recently dropping a bit deeper to form a partnership with Moises Caicedo.
