Reports have claimed that Chelsea left Conor Gallagher bemused by something they did back in January.
According to The Athletic, the midfielder was confused when the club accepted a bid of around £45m from Everton in the middle of the season.
The midfield position was all change back in January, and Gallagher was very nearly part of the merry-go round experience.

Chelsea smashed their club transfer record to bring in Enzo Fernandez, after a fierce set of negotiations between Benfica and themselves that lasted the entire month.
As he came in, Jorginho left for a decent fee to Arsenal, especially considering that he had just a few months left on his contract.
The England international was also almost another player who left in the final hours of the window. An extremely impressive bid came in from relegation threatened Everton to bring him in, although he did not fancy the battle for survival.
Gallagher bemused at Chelsea in January
Gallagher had begun to establish that he could be an option for the Blues midway through last season, although some were struggling to work out where he should be played in the team.
Fast forward to the current pre-season campaign, and he has been arguably one of the most impressive individuals to feature under Mauricio Pochettino in the United States.

However, rumours have refused to disappear that he could still be surplus to requirements in West London this season, despite the manager’s admiration.
He will no doubt be of interest to a lot of sides in the Premier League, with some of those competing in Europe surely interested.
This includes West Ham, who are looking to spend some of the money they have acquired from the recent sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal.
