Chelsea certainly made themselves busy in the summer transfer window in order to give the best possible platform to succeed.

Enzo Maresca has been praised for a lot of the work he has done so far at Stamford Bridge, however the most impressive perhaps for Chelsea fans Is the way he has managed a large squad of quality players.

He has very quickly integrated Jadon Sancho into his starting side, starting him in the last three Premier League games.

This has seen Mykhailo Mudryk left on the sidelines, with summer signing Pedro Neto also having to be patient after impressing since joining.

Joao Felix is another new signing who has been forced off to wait in the wings to get his second spell at the club underway properly.

Joao Felix named second worst Premier League signing

It was reported that there was not actually that much ambition from Chelsea to complete the signing, however things worked out well in their efforts to get rid of Conor Gallagher during the summer to facilitate his £45m addition.

It seems not everyone has been convinced he is up to it either. TuttoJuve’s ranking of the worst 10 Premier League summer transfers, Felix came in second place.

He was only behind new Manchester United star Matthijs de Ligt, a player Chelsea were closely linked to when Thomas Tuchel was in charge.

Felix forced to wait by Cole Palmer

Felix has been forced to watch the brilliance of Cole Palmer keep him out of featuring in his favoured position in the Premier League. He is yet to start in that competition since rejoining the club.

Of those not currently in the starting side, there is an appetite to bring others in before him too.

The clear candidate for that is Christopher Nkunku, who has continued his fine goalscoring start to the campaign with another finish on his return to the France setup during the international break.
