Chris Sutton has claimed he was left in disbelief at something he saw from Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino at the weekend.
He told ‘It’s all Kicking Off’ that he couldn’t work out why the manager was seemingly ordered to be involved in the club’s publicity stunt that they pulled to advertise an upcoming film at the weekend.
The Blues beat local rivals Fulham 1-0 at Stamford Bridge thanks to a penalty from Cole Palmer in stoppage time of the first half.

However, one of the stories that threatened to overshadow what was going on on the pitch was what was happening just behind the bench at Stamford Bridge.
A group of unknown figures pulled a number of stunts, including reading a book and brushing their teeth. This later emerged to be part of an advertising campaign for the upcoming film ‘Argyle’.
Sutton stunned at Pochettino
The social media reaction was not one of particular positivity, and Sutton has now slammed the club for making the manager get involved in any way.
He said: “It’s a circus. There’s a couple of things I don’t understand. So Pochettino had the name of the film on his jacket, where has that order come from? It’s okay when you’re winning Premier Leagues and Champions Leagues, that’s fine.
“When you’ve spent a billion pounds and your club is in a bit of a pickle still and way off where we expect them to be. It’s called reading the room Todd.”
All reports have claimed recently that Pochettino’s job at Stamford Bridge is safe right now, however this may well change if they are knocked out of the EFL Cup by Middlesbrough in a week’s time.
The news that Jose Mourinho is back on the market after today being sacked by Roma could be a sign that the pressure is about to rise on the Argentine at the helm.
