Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr have made contact with Chelsea in an attempt to bring another player in as part of the summer transfer window.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s side have already confirmed the addition of Joao Felix, who the Blues were desperate to part ways with after his loan spell away last season.

Felix is set for a big payday, and Chelsea will be receiving more in transfer fees than they were perhaps expecting after spending big money on the Portuguese star less than 12 months ago.

The majority of players who left the club on loan last season are on the chopping block, with one of those being Renato Veiga despite his impressive stint at Juventus.

Al-Nassr want Chelsea’s Renato Veiga after Joao Felix signing

Veiga was expected to join Atletico Madrid, however that deal has stalled after the La Liga side prioritised the signing of David Hancko.

He had looked set for his own move to Al-Nassr, however The Chelsea Chronicle understands the Saudi side have pivoted their attention to Ronaldo and Felix’s international teammate.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey has revealed to us that the Blues do not see a future for Veiga at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea pushing ahead with their interest in Ajax’s Jorrel Hato.

He said: “Chelsea have made it clear to Veiga there is no room for him at Stamford Bridge. They have done a deal for Jorrel Hato as we have revealed and they have made it clear they don’t see him having a future with them at centre-half.”

Veiga disappointed by Chelsea exit

Despite requesting himself to leave the club on loan in January, it has been said that he is not too happy that his time at Stamford Bridge looks set to come to an end.

Veiga is upset he isn’t getting to play centre-back at Chelsea, after he felt like he had proven himself as a genuine option in that position while on loan.

After joining for around £12m a year ago, the Blues are hoping to make a big profit on the defender, and were set to do so if he had moved to Atletico.

Despite the club being happy to move on, Veiga is still a quality young player who certainly has the capabilities to continue to star for both club and country.
