Chelsea face Manchester United tomorrow afternoon in a highly anticipated showdown at Old Trafford.

Chelsea travel to Manchester on Sunday to play Man United in the Premier League, which is a meeting between two English giants.

For the Blues, they go into this weekend sitting fifth in the league table and in a confident mood. Chelsea’s predicted line-up against Man United includes wholesale changes from the team that were beaten midweek in the Carabao Cup away to Newcastle United.

As for Man United, they’ve now officially confirmed that Ruben Amorim will become their new head coach. However, Ruud van Nistelrooy will remain as the club’s interim boss for the next three games, including on Sunday versus Chelsea.

Alan Shearer predicts Manchester United vs Chelsea

Premier League legend Alan Shearer has predicted a score draw for the upcoming clash between Man United and Chelsea. In fairness, there’s been five draws in the previous eight meetings between the clubs.

Shearer told The Metro: “When a manager leaves and another comes in, there’ll be a different atmosphere, a renewed hope and belief at Old Trafford on Sunday, with or [Ruben] without Amorim, especially after Man United scored five goals in the Carabao Cup…

“I was at St James’ for Chelsea’s trip in midweek, and it was a completely changed team from the league game between the two, and the side he puts out against Man United will be different again.

“It’s a tough one to call and probably why I’ll go for a score draw. I fancy both teams to score because both teams can improve defensively, and the added detail of a new manager in the dugout at Old Trafford for the first in the Premier League, whether that’s Ruben or Ruud, means Man Utd can get something out of this game.”

Paul Merson is leaning towards Chelsea beating Man United, but the Blues haven’t actually won a league match at Old Trafford since 2013. It does feel like this weekend is as good a chance as ever to break the 11-year streak.

Who will Chelsea play at full-back

In general, Chelsea’s team to face Man United picks itself. Enzo Maresca has done a great job as Blues manager this season finding some consistency in his starting line-up for the Premier League, something which hasn’t existed at the club in the last couple of years.

But if there’s one area of the pitch that still looks up for grabs, it’s definitely in the full-back spots.

So, which two from Marc Cucurella, Reece James and Malo Gusto will start on Sunday?

Chelsea fans are demanding Cucurella starts at left-back against Man United. However, in the previous league match, Gusto played at right-back and James at left-back.
