Chelsea predicted XI vs Manchester United

Robert Sanchez was the cause of discomfort inside Stamford Bridge last week, however will return to the starting side on Sunday after backing from his manager.

The return of Reece James to the squad has been a real positive in the last few weeks, and he will captain the side at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Wesley Fofana will return to the backline. The defensive display against Newcastle on Wednesday was nothing to shout about as far as Chelsea were concerned.

This is why Levi Colwill will be one of the first names on the teamsheet this weekend. He has really upped his game at the back this season.

Maresca will recall Marc Cucurella to his Premier League side in place of Malo Gusto. The £62m signing being left-footed is key to the balance of the Blues.

Chelsea midfield better without Enzo Fernandez?

Moises Caicedo is going from strength to strength at Stamford Bridge this season, and will certainly be amongst the starters on Sunday.

He will be joined in the middle of the park by Romeo Lavia. There is a real argument at the moment that Chelsea are better without Enzo Fernandez in there.

Cole Palmer will start ahead of those two, and the creative burden will likely fall on his shoulders again at Old Trafford.

The right wing will be occupied by Noni Madueke, who has enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign and seems to be thriving under Maresca.

On the opposite wing, Pedro Neto will start for the Blues. Jadon Sancho is unavailable for selection as he is up against his parent side.

Up front, Nicolas Jackson will be looking to add to his six Premier League goals and three assists this season.
