Chelsea supporters will hope that Cole Palmer is lighting up Stamford Bridge for many years to come, and Ally McCoist has just made an interesting prediction about his future.

Cole Palmer, 22, is close to completing his first two seasons as a Chelsea player.

The attacking midfielder has been a sensation since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Manchester City, emerging into one of the Premier League’s star players in the last couple of years.

It’s interesting to see that the goals have completely dried up for him lately, failing to score in his previous 16 games across all competitions. However, he’s still a main creative threat and integral to the Blues XI.

Gary Cahill isn’t worried about Cole Palmer’s dip because he’s still seeing him doing the right things in matches.

Ally McCoist expects Cole Palmer to stay at Chelsea

Ally McCoist has made the big prediction that Palmer will enjoy a long-term future at Chelsea.

McCoist told talkSPORT: “Cole Palmer’s form has dipped a little bit. Will his long-term future be at Chelsea? I would think yes. Has he got the ability to move to another club with the same stature and hopes as Chelsea to continue to win things? Absolutely.

“Great players like that always attract attention, and he’s a great player. Very, very talented boy, I think… If you’re asking me what I think will happen, I think he’ll stay at Chelsea.”

In contrast, Martin Keown predicts Cole Palmer will leave Chelsea within the next couple of years because of the current project.

It’s reassuring for supporters to know that the Englishman is under contract with them until the summer of 2033, so the club are in a very strong position if it ever comes to transfer negotiations.

Jaap Stam’s prediction on Cole Palmer is that he could one day be worth £200m if he continues on his upwards trajectory.
