Anthony Gordon praises Chelsea great Eden Hazard

Anthony Gordon has just made a big claim about Eden Hazard that Chelsea supporters will surely love.

He thinks that the retired 33-year-old attacker is the most talented winger to ever grace the Premier League.

Gordon Sky Sports: “I definitely caught [Eden] Hazard. He was phenomenal. I think if you’re talking based on pure ability, he was the best Premier League winger.”

Hazard enjoyed a dazzling seven-year spell in English football with Chelsea between 2012-2019, winning two Premier League titles during his time.

The Belgian wizard certainly left his mark on England’s top division with his style of play and overall quality.

Danny Welbeck named Hazard at Chelsea as his toughest ever opponent. Elsewhere, Pedro Neto admitted he used to look up to Chelsea great Hazard.

Cole Palmer to follow in Eden Hazard footsteps

If Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer continues at his current rate, he may have a good chance of following in the footsteps of Hazard.

The 22-year-old Blues star should certainly be in the conversation for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award if he keeps up his form in the second half of the season. In 16 Premier League matches so far this campaign, Palmer has scored 16 goals and created six assists.

Hazard won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year prize back in the 2014/15 season. Incidentally, the most recent Chelsea player to win the individual award was N’Golo Kante in the 2016/17 campaign.

Palmer is currently right in the mix for the division’s best player, so it’s great for Chelsea to have a player of that calibre in their side once again.
