Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has claimed on MOTDx that former Arsenal teammate Alexandre Lacazette was messaging him before his move to Chelsea was even confirmed.
The pair were a dynamic strike partnership at the Emirates, striking up a great relationship both on and off the pitch.
However, Aubameyang was forced out of Arsenal in January last season, while the Frenchman did not have his contract renewed at the club.

The 33-year-old soon found his scoring touch again for Barcelona for half a season, before they brought in Robert Lewandowski.
This led to Chelsea looking to sign Aubameyang, with them looking for a short-term fix to their striker role.
The Gabonese international has now claimed that Lacazette messaged him questioning his decision.
Aubameyang spoke to Lacazette
Aubameyang said: “Even before, when he’d just heard the rumours, he was like ‘nah, really?’ I said ‘I can’t do it’ [shrugging his shoulders].”
Playing for both London clubs is often an uncrossed divide for players, although there are a number of examples of it occurring.
It has become a running joke that players reach higher levels of success after leaving the Emirates for Stamford Bridge.
Started by Ashley Cole, the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Olivier Giroud have gone on to win multiple trophies in comparison to their efforts in North London.

Aubameyang will be looking to keep up his rich vein of form ahead of this weekend’s trip to Villa Park.
The 33-year-old has three goals in as many games for the club, including a pair of strikes in crucial Champions League games.
A win against an out-of-form Villa side would see them crank up the pressure on Spurs in third, with them still holding a game in hand on their other London rivals.
Arsenal meanwhile are looking to maintain their place at the top of the table, following their sensational start to the campaign.
