Chelsea are running the risk on losing out on a number of the top talents coming through at Cobham.
There is reportedly a lack of confidence coming from the academy about their pathway to the first team, and they have already seen some of their most promising players depart.
Rio Ngumoha has moved to Liverpool, and has already been spotted in first team training as he prepares to make the step up to Premier League level.
It looks as if the Blues are struggling to tie down their young superstars to long-term deals, and this is reportedly currently happening with Josh Acheampong.

Acheampong has been frozen out of all Chelsea duties after not committing his future to the club, and has not been seen for the club at any level since coming off the bench against Barrow back in September.
Bayern Munich want Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong
A number of top clubs have been linked with a deal for the right-back, with them clearly seeing a promising future for the player.
Felix Johnston has given supporters an update on the tense situation, and claimed that Bayern Munich are prepared to offer him first team minutes straight away.
He said: “Tentative progress has been made on the Chelsea side. Chelsea are really pushing and talks are on-going. They don’t want the situation to drag on.
“One area where progress has been made is Chelsea presented a potential idea for a loan to Strasbourg in the future. In talks on pathway, this was initially a stumbling block, as it wasn’t desired by the player, but I’m told he’s now more open to it after talks.
“There are a lots of clubs interested in Acheampong. In addition to PSG, Real Madrid, Dortmund and Liverpool, I’m told Bayern Munich are very interested. They are promising the player immediate 1st team minutes.
“Liverpool’s pursuit is linked to the Trent Alexander-Arnold situation. PSG are very interested, but to this point it’s not the player’s preferred destination.”
Why Josh Acheampong is likely frustrated with Chelsea
First team minutes have been at a premium for Acheampong this season. His appearance off the bench against Barrow in the Carabao Cup was his only outing for the first team this season.
This has been despite injuries to Reece James and Malo Gusto, with Maresca deciding to start Axel Disasi there instead.
A number of youngsters have appeared in the Conference League this season. Tyrique George and Marc Guiu started last time out, and look set for more minutes during the group stage.
The same could very well have been afforded to Acheampong when the pressure was off, however at this stage he remains way away from first team duties.
